EPIRUS Light Feta Cheese is a white cheese product in brine. It’s made of 100% Greek, partly skimmed, fresh milk and its fat content is barely 12%. EPIRUS Light is part of the successful EPIRUS range of products and was produced to cover the need for low fat white cheese, following contemporary consumer trends. It is the most appropriate product for those who want the taste of our traditional feta, without the fat. EPIRUS Light Feta Cheese has only 56 calories and 3.6g of fat per 30g portion while remaining rich in protein, calcium and vitamins. It’s ideal as an accompaniment for Greek salads and pulse and vegetable dishes and as an ingredient for pies etc.

Since its launch in 2008, EPIRUS Light Feta Cheese has received 4 distinctions in national and international competitions. In 2008 it participated in the Nantwich International Cheese Show in Great Britain, the biggest international cheese festival in the world with 30 countries taking part and over 3,000 competing cheese products. EPIRUS Light Feta Cheese won the “Top Preferred Taste Award” in the special cheeses category; two years later, in 2010, it won the Bronze Award in the low-fat white cheese category. In the last two years it has received two more important distinctions awarded by the independent organization iTQi.

EPIRUS Light Feta Cheese contains only 12% fat.
It is produced by 100% goat & sheep’s milk. Fat reduction is achieved by removing the “cream” (fat) from the milk. This results in a product that has the usual EPIRUS Feta taste but at low fat (approximately half the fat of feta cheese). EPIRUS Light Feta Cheese is for modern consumers who are interested in all the necessary & important nutrients of feta, with considerably less fat.
